Along with the rapid and extensive development in many fields of cooperation between the two countries, Korean research in Vietnam has more and more favorable conditions to improve not only in quantity but also in quality. define their roles in basic research and applied research. Standing on the threshold of 30 years of Vietnam-Korea relations and promising to open a new phase of the relationship between the two countries as well as the development prospects of Korean studies in Vietnam, this article will analyzes, assess the situation of Korean research organizations, researchers and research results in Vietnam in the past time. Using the data of the Vietnam Review of Northeast Asian Studies for more than 20 years as a case study, the article analyzes the trends of Korean research in Vietnam and shows the contribution of Korean studies as an inseparable interaction factor between Korean education and research in Vietnam.
