Closer relations between Korea and Vietnam are the wishes of the people and concerns of the governments of both countries after very positive achievements in the past thirty years. In order to realize that strategic goal, it is extremely necessary to listen to the opinions of different social sectors on this issue, in which individuals with knowledge, practical experience and direct participation in the relationship between the two countries are especially important. This is a practical and useful source of data for researchers, policy makers and leaders of both countries in discovering existing problems as well as suggesting solutions and new opportunities for tightening the bilateral relationship between Korea and Vietnam in the future. The results of in-depth interviews with typical Korean alumni of the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City have provided many interesting comments for this issue.
